Comedy, Magic and a Mind Reading Pig!
A quick background -
My name is Tom Crowl and I am an artist. In 1984 I became a full time professional magician / performing artist doing comedy and magic shows. You read that correctly - full time - I didn't have a "real job" - my parents were so excited. (left - Between shows I pose with Bob Keeshan, the original Captain Kangaroo. You'll notice this was back when I had hair...)
In 1991, my wife Dierdre joined the show and we became known as Tom Crowl and the Mrs. Our son Cameron was born in 1994 and joined the show at age 3. Several years ago I began expressing my creativity through the medium of wood and have established a successful side business known as Crafty Owl. So today, over 21 years later, I still make my living as an artist - both on stage and off. Someday I even hope to be the artist formerly known as "Starving"...
The Tom Crowl and the Mrs. show gave Dierdre & I some great times, however in 2005, we mutually decided to slow down a bit so she could pursue other interests. (Yes - we are still married!) I will be going forward as a solo artist and she will still join me for select clients.
